200th Article – a celebration!

This article is something of a celebration, as it is the 200th that I have written and published out into the world. And very gratifying the whole process has been for me and, I hope, for you, my readers.

The Aries New Moon is on the evening of Sunday, 30th March. It is at 10 degrees Aries and so fits in with the “stuff” of the Grand Cross for all of us. Just because it’s in Aries, it falls wherever we have Aries on our charts and so joins up with Uranus, the Bringer of Change along with it. In fact, they are very close – so those of you who have birthdays around this time are really in for some fun.

The New Moon also makes a 90 degree aspect to Jupiter, the Joy Bringer. Together by aspect Jupiter and Uranus bring relief from long held worries, positive and sudden advancement and expansion. A nice mixture for the New Moon to come across in its journey. The Solar Return (birthday) chart will indicate how and where in your life this is likely to happen.

And yes, there is also the 90 degree aspect of the New Moon to Pluto to contend with, but this is a slower, more measured, denser energy than the JU/PL combination which will tend to work out on the more week by week level.

Aries : 21st March – 20th April: this is your New Moon, so make the most of its influence in your Solar 1st House of personal drives and life force. What you want, you go out and get it this month, but you must be ready to expect the unexpected with Uranus so close to your Sun, if it’s your birthday weekend. With Jupiter placed in your Solar 4th House you will be looking at your domestic situation and thinking that you can improve on it – NOW!! You could wake up one morning and decide quite out of the blue to move house, tear a wall down or tackle the garden. A parent may bring good news about their own life that may surprise you. Friends may also surprise you with a sudden decision to relocate abroad or across state. However it works out, it is exciting and offers you lots of opportunities that you may not yet be aware of to keep your life in motion.

Taurus: 20th April – 20th May: the New Moon falls in your 12th house of hidden matters coming to light. You may be researching your family tree of writing your thesis – no matter what, you will find your discovery surprising. With Jupiter placed in your 3rd House of short journeys, writing, teaching, you may find that you are being forced by events to leave your comfort zone more often that you would like. A sibling or cousin may kick start you opening up your ideas about your chosen career. This can happen suddenly so you will need to be ready to act rather than chew it over in your true Taurean style. This is a good time to start a meditation course or join a yoga group because these pursuits are always good for counteracting stress. You may decide to open a savings account or even start researching a mortgage loan for a new home.

Gemini: 21st May – 21st June: The New Moon falls in your 11th Solar House of groups, friendships and ideals so you can expect to meet some new people who challenge and excite your mind. One of this new group may in fact excite more than just your mind by becoming closer than just a friendship, which is a perfect activity for Springtime! You will be engaging in conversations about everything from education to politics and wondering if you should settle down to write the book you’ve long dreamed of writing. This could be a good time to plan a long-distance journey or even go back into higher education. With Jupiter ruling your 2nd House of earnings you may find that you are expanding your income, maybe through a raise in salary or if you are self-employed, by raising your prices. However it works out financially for you, you don’t spend needless time thinking about it because life is just the way you like it – stimulating!

Cancer: 21st June – 23rd July: The New Moon falls in your 10th Solar House of career or vocation, and Jupiter is placed in your 1st House of personal interests and life force. this brings a great opportunity to ask yourself the questions that you may not otherwise ask – such as: am I in the right job? do I feel fulfilled by my work? The answers you come up with will echo the energies of both Jupiter and Uranus – i.e. sudden expansion, opportunities arriving out of the blue together with the new life of the Aries New Moon. You are filled with the confidence that Jupiter always brings and getting great feedback from your close friends and family. This could be a good time for you to join a fitness programme or do some outdoor exercise such as hill walking. You may take an interest in your past and decide to research your family tree which could teach you a lot about where you come from.

Leo: 23rd July – 23rd August: The New Moon falls in your 9th Solar House of foreign affairs and long distance travel, higher education and publishing. How good is that? You are certainly feeling the onset of spring in your life and ready to leap off into something new. With Jupiter placed in your 12th House of meditation and the gentle arts of poetry and creative writing, these could be things that enthuse you right now – remember that the 9th House is associated with publishing and broadcasting, as well as heading out to Nepal. Just make sure that you don’t overdraw on your accounts to pay for it all. Jupiter rules your 5th House of creativity and children – so you may take a trip to spend time with them or they may come to you. There could be new relationships and friendships in the offing as well – really my advice is to just expect the unexpected because that’s all you can do right now. Oh, and finish your creative ventures.

Virgo: 23rd August – 23rd September: The New Moon falls in your 8th Solar House of shared resources, joint accounts, mortgages and loans. This is a pretty dense New Moon, acting as it does in the most earthy part of your chart. You will be hoping for money that is owed to you will come back into your account – there could be some sudden changes to your finances as a result. Jupiter is placed in your 11th House of friendships and new projects, so will give you a lot of confidence to focus on what really matters to you at this time. You will also be busy on the day to day routines that are part of your lot in life – but which can bring their own rewards – just be aware that even this seemingly dull aspect of your life can suddenly change for the better. Health issues will be resolved as quickly as they come up.

Libra: 23rd September – 23rd October: The New Moon falls in your 7th Solar House of relationships, business partners and personal friendships. This is a period of new life for you now – you are embarking on a new path that will come flying towards you very suddenly. Just make sure that your decks are clear so that you can make the most of these new opportunities, people, business, etc. Jupiter is in your 10th House of career and vocation, so the confidence that he endows you with will take you far over this period. Your creative juices will be flowing and you will be able to expand your horizons very quickly – you will look back on this time as the start of a whole new successful period of your life. You will be running back and forth through your neighbourhood and taking lots of short journeys of exploration. Just be sure to take time out to recharge your batteries.

Scorpio: 23rd October – 22nd November: The New Moon falls in your 6th Solar House of everyday routines, balancing your energy input with its output – in other words, don’t tire yourself out doing things that may not bring the rewards that you expect. Time to employ discrimination here and let go of things that aren’t working for you any longer. Jupiter is in your 9th House of foreign affairs, in laws and higher education, so one or all of these things could be on the cards for you at some point. Your personal finances could take a sudden surge upwards and help you to leave the worries behind. Your domestic situation may also demand your attention suddenly and you could decide to decorate it as you want rather than asking others. You may even have an opportunity to relocate or at least travel to distant horizons and explore new life choices.

Sagittarius: 22nd November – 22nd December: The New Moon falls in your 5th Solar House of creativity, love affairs, children and taking chances – this last comes with its own warnings, obviously. However, you feel expansive and open to life’s infinite possibilities, so your confidence and optimism are running high. Other people will find you attractive and come to you in order to find out how you manage to say “yes” to life with such trust in the Universe. Trusting the Universe is one of your gifts, by the way. Jupiter falls in your 8th House of shared finances, loans and mortgages, so you could be a little too quick to use your credit card, when leaving it at home could be the wiser action. However, all this aside you may find that your vocation/career takes a leap forward and brings you more than you expected. You may be making many short journeys this month or spending time with siblings.

Capricorn: 22nd December -20th January: The New Moon falls in your 4th Solar House of home, your domestic circumstances, your parents. As it is also the house of endings, you may find that something that has been dragging along for some time suddenly comes to an end and releases you to investigate new ways of living – maybe even a new home; or maybe a change in your existing home that suits the way you are now developing into. Jupiter is placed in your 7th House of relationships, business partners and close friendships, opening up new possibilities to be explored with others – this is not a time to go it alone as life is knocking on your door. You may suddenly find that your finances are such that you can do some of the things that you have always wanted to do – such as a training course for your own enjoyment, not for your professional development. Sometimes, you can leap up the mountain with absolute abandon and that time could be now!

Aquarius: 20th January – 19th February: The New Moon falls in your 3rd Solar House of short journeys, writing, teaching, siblings and your immediate surroundings. This is a time to be out and about, just exploring what is closest to you in terms of your locale, meeting neighbours and just passing the time of day with them. You may decide that you need to take better care of your health and enrol on an exercise programme, or diet, to bring you into full fitness again. Jupiter rules your 11th House of friendships, your ideals and the beliefs by which you run your life. This placement offers you the possibility of new people coming into your life who will bring ideas that open your mind to a brand new Universe that will nourish you as never before. While you aren’t really interested in money, you may find that it is interested in you, thus creating a lucky break for you to enjoy.

Pisces: 19th February – 20th March: The New Moon falls in your 2nd Solar House of finances, your value systems, your comfort zone. You may have been wanting to move on from your existing situation, yet were nervous about doing it – well, this New Moon can bring opportunities for you to do just that, in whatever manner you wish, and give you the confidence to go through with it. Remember, you are in control of it all. Jupiter is placed in your 5th House of creativity, children, love affairs and general expansion – all those things that make your heart beat a little faster. Jupiter rules your 10th House of vocation, so indicates that support for you will be forthcoming – this will give you a great deal of confidence and attract even more assistance to birth your dreams into reality. You may find that a child is making major life changing decisions that involve foreign affairs or higher education.
