Aries : 21st March – 20th April – Lucky you, to have Venus in your 1st Solar House and Jupiter in your 11th house. These two planets are the teachers of the Universe and will bring many opportunities to meet new people and sort out your long-term objectives. This is a fun period where new relationships can be started and then follow the usual pattern of will they/won’t they? Just relax and let the Universe sort it out for you – you may be surprised with the outcome. Venus, ruler of your house of relationships, is making that square to Pluto over the next couple of months so you might find that some of the people you meet have a more demanding agenda than you would like. It’s an intense month for falling in love, so just make sure you don’t overspend on buying gifts that really could cost you more than you bargained for. If you go shopping with a new love – just take one credit card with you and cry poverty – then see what happens.

Taurus: 19th April – 20th May – These next couple of months your ruler Venus is making liaisons with both Mars and Pluto – this could mean that your relationships could be very intense, sensual and passionate. Whether the love is still there by June – only time will tell. Nevertheless you will have gained a great deal of confidence in your abilities to attract interesting people into your life – and will  put your powers of Attraction onto a whole new level. During this month, however, you will still need to fulfill your normal day to day routines and obligations. If the other person demands that you change that, stick to your guns and follow your head not your heart. The New Moon on 25th February in your 11th Solar house will bring a month of new ideas and objectives to study – it’s a time to work out what and who are truly important in your life and whether or not they support your goals. If not well – once our minds are opened to new thoughts, we can never go back to the way we used to think – any more than we can unlearn to read – can’t be done.

Gemini: 20th May – 20th June – This is an opportunity for you to sparkle and dazzle your colleagues at work with your brilliance and mental versatility. The New Moon on 25th February falls in your Solar 10th House of career and your ruler Mercury gets there too by mid March, so you are on a roll this month. Your take on life may go through a sea change with Venus and Mars getting all political and idealistic on you. Together they could represent some new people swanning into your social circle who are committed to changing the world and saving the planet. You may find this exciting for a while – but ultimately the choice is yours as to  whether you will want them around in the longer term. You prefer to keep your options open and remain flexible – too much commitment can be a real turn-off for you. If you do join up, then make sure you have a get-out clause – or a friend to phone – when things get a little too intense.

Cancer: 21st June – 22nd July – The New Moon on 25th February falls in your Solar 9th house of publication, broadcasting and long distance travels. The events of the upcoming  month will give your confidence an enormous boost and as a result your creative ideas can really take off. The Venus period in Aries plays out in your Solar 10th House of career and sees you wondering what your options really are in terms of long-term work. However, don’t make any decisions in haste this next month, as once Venus turns around you could change your mind again and understand a whole new take on things. You need to see your career as what you do rather than what you feel. Your emotions can often get the better of you and you can be easily hurt by a chance remark by someone in the office. If it happens then let it go and think about your creative projects instead – that’s where your heart and enthusiasm really lie.

Leo: 22nd July – 22nd August – The New Moon on 25th February falls in your Solar 8th House putting an emphasis this following month on all your joint financial outgoings, your mortgage, taxes and loans. this is not necessarily a month of concern, simply a period of re-acquainting yourself with just exactly where your money does go and to whom. Once you have done that you can make conscious choices to continue or change the way you operate. The key word here is “conscious” – and gives you enormous power and control over your life again. The to-ing and fro-ing of Venus throughout the next couple of months will  bring people into your circle who have a very different background to yourself – either by class, clan, religion, race or language. Whichever it is, you will learn a lot about yourself and the world at large, as this person will have a lot to teach you and will open your mind to a great many new ideas.

Virgo: 22nd August – 22nd September – The New Moon on the 25th February falls in your 7th Solar House of relationships and partnerships. This heralds a month of negotiating what you want and what they want – and how much ground you give up and what’s in it for you as you do. Sounds like fun! Venus doing her long term act in your 8th House of shared resources really brings out your inner Virgoan accountant sub-personality. You may find that either your partner or the tax man has overlooked something and you need to get to grips with how you can put things right. It’s a great learning curve for you and will stand you in good stead for the future. The arrival of Jupiter in your Solar 6th House will mean that your everyday routines and obligations will actually bring you the possibility of new work and expansion – especially if you run your own business. I know it sounds like work, work, work – but you’re a Virgo – what else? Your health will be good and you’ll have an optimistic eye on the future.

Libra: 22nd September – 23rd October – The New Moon in your Solar 6th house will have you trying to make the decision to go to the gym or working with a personal fitness trainer. Your New Year’s resolutions are wearing off now and you realise that as a people person you need to company of others whatever regime you decide to follow. It’s hard work for Libra to do anything by yourself – so take a friend along with you. Venus, your ruling planet, is playing around for the next couple of months in your 7th Solar House of relationships – what fun is that? You may suddenly find yourself in great demand socially – with your dance card completely filled. However, just be ready for someone not to turn up and leave you standing outside in the cold – Venus can be very fickle like that. Still no matter what, with Jupiter in your 5th Solar House of love affairs, this is your year and it starts now.

Scorpio 23rd October – 21st November – The New Moon on 25th February falls in your 5th House of enjoyment, fun days out and social events with your children. This is what makes your heart sing, although you don’t necessarily tell everyone. You may be moved by Venus in your 6th Solar House of work and routines, to revamp or redecorate your workplace – even if all you do is put a potted plant on your desk. Painting the walls would be more fun! Jupiter in your 4th Solar House of family ties and home matters could see you expanding your home, moving house or even having one of the kids move back in until their finances are straight again. This is an optimistic time for you – that gives you plenty of creative ideas for future projects that you can pursue from home. Many Scorpios are good cooks and love entertaining – so this could be a good time for doing just that. the key theme this month is enjoyment – what more needs to be said?

Sagittarius 21st November – 21st December – This month’s New Moon on the 25th falls in your Solar 4th House of domestic and family life. You may have to spend some energy and time on the needs of an older family member who has problems right now – or share the duties between yourself and a sibling. A sibling or cousin may come to stay with you for a while – the quality of this would depend on the relationship you already have with them. Venus is flitting around in your Solar 5th House of love affairs and fun times – your natural openness and optimism ensure that you really have a good time yourself and everyone else does as well! A child may leave home and quickly return – they’re in and out like yo-yos, but you take it all with a shrug and a smile. You may find that you are doing a lot of small journeys, just around your neighbourhood and local area – so getting to know a lot more people, which is always useful to do.

Capricorn 21st December -19th January – The New Moon on 25th February falls in your  Solar Third House of siblings, neighbours and cousins. This could be a month of juggling a number of different obligations like re-organising the school run, looking after an elderly neighbour, parent/teacher meetings – and they all converge on you to sort out. Thank goodness you are stoical, well organised and cool headed. You may also feel expansive in your giving to charities and those in need – even if you give of your own time rather than money. This is a good year for financial improvement with Jupiter now in your Solar 2nd House of personal finances – just make sure you remain cool-headed about your money as with other things. Venus is ditzing around your domestic life as well this  next couple of months – revamping and beautifying, in your own classical taste, are the order of this period. You might  even decide to join a book or art appreciation group   – your need to communicate and learn as so strong right now.

Aquarius 20th January – 19th February – The New Moon on 25th February puts your focus on your solar 2nd House of personal finances, making you question what you’re doing for how much you’re earning – is it a good deal for you? As you have Jupiter in your 1st House all year, you will need to guard against over-optimism during this period of financial downturn in the outside world. So make sure that your feet are firmly on the ground as far as your money is concerned. Venus is playing hide and seek in your Solar 3rd House of communication, writing and teaching. You may have an idea for a writing project – if so, make sure your research is watertight – with Pluto squaring Venus right now, you don’t want to find that you can’t back up your ideas with truth. It’s the same with teaching – do your preparation and you’ll be fine. A sibling may be leading you a merry dance – or even a neighbour – just be your usual friendly soul and don’t get too involved.
