What is Astrology and what can it do for you?

Astrology is exciting. It enables you to understand yourself in a completely new way. The gift of Astrology is the gift of freedom - the freedom to be yourself and to choose a partner who reflects your inborn uniqueness. The message of astrology is
that each one of us is an individual, each with our own particular way of approaching life. Therefore we can celebrate our lives and learn to be fulfilled and creative. The placement of the Zodiac signs, the Sun, Moon and the planets in the sky at your moment of birth can enable you to make informed choices for yourself. Knowledge is freedom.

What is a birth chart?

Your birth chart is a map that is drawn up for the moment you were born. Even though
astrologers prefer to have as near an exact birth time as they can, many people have no idea other than the day and year of their birthday. This does not deter an astrologer, however, because until fairly recently in the history of Astrology many households didn’t have clocks nor could they tell the time, anyway. There are many techniques that deal us with the problem. The information calculated then shows me where in life you focus your energies, the kind of lifestyle that suits you, the nature of your friendships and your relationships, your career choices and much, much more. In reality it forms a book of your life.

What is prediction?

Astrologers make predictions when they read a chart - in fact, how could they not? The
analogy I prefer when discussing prediction is that life is like a train journey. When we book a ticket to go from station A to our destination at station B, we know exactly what time the train begins its journey - in other words, we are born. The train announces its destination on the front of the engine - remember, we are not where we come from, rather we are where we are heading. My aim when predicting for a client is to offer them an insight into when certain potential elements within, will begin to be brought into consciousness. If the birth chart is the “what?” of your life, prediction is the “when?” in your life.

Your Solar Return

Your Solar Return chart is also your birthday chart. Each year the Sun replicates its birth position by degree, minute and second. That it does this at a time that is different than your birth time is due to the discrepancy between 365/6 days in a year and 360 degrees in a circle. What this gives, though, is a new chart that is specifically for the year in question and can add much information about your future.

Your Relationships

This branch of astrology is also known as Synastry - meaning “Same Stars” - and offers an insight into why two people have come together and what their relationship can bring to each of them. This can either be in a romantic/marriage type relationship or a business partnership. The comparison of the charts can show us the strengths and direction of the relationship. It allows you to celebrate your differences and free your beloved from your unrealistic longings. Relating can become more free and relaxed. Another technique is to create a single chart out of the two, called a Composite chart, which adds even more useful information. I usually use both techniques.

Children’s and Babies’ charts

When I read a birth chart for a new born, it is to encourage the parents to see their child as a complete individual already rather than as something they can make in their own image. The entire process produces happier, creative babies and wonder-filled parents. They make an excellent gift from a grandparent or aunt/uncle.

The information needed - for any of the above I will need the birth date, place and time (if known).
