Sky Watching Wisdom , Astrology

A couple of bits from me and one from Edgar Winter, my colleague in Australia.

First of all, I would like to thank those of you who regularly make comments on the blog. I find it very helpful as it is difficult to gauge how many people actually read what I have to say – I mean I find it interesting otherwise I wouldn’t write it – however, unless I get comments both to the blog page or by personal email, I would never know. So thanks again, folks I really appreciate it.

I have just finished Rhonda Byrne’s latest book “The Magic” and have dutifully worked through the 28 days of easy peasy exercises that are designed to help us develop “an attitude of gratitude”. I have to say that when I reached the end, I really did find myself saying “Thank You” a lot more regularly than I used to. And being grateful in general for the weather, smiles from others, etc.

Gratitude is Jupiter in the astrological lexicon – and the more we thank the Universe ,the better pleased is Jupiter. My blog of a couple of weeks ago was about the idea of the planetary energies downloading into sensitive and receptive parts of our charts. And if we live in a co-creating and cooperative Universe, then it stands to reason that we are partners in this process of download/upload. As Jupiter streams generosity and positivity down to our psyches, then we upload our joy to him in gratitude and thus strengthen his reputation for positivity.

I wrote the piece below in the blog of 15th February last – and am amazed how quickly we respond to the energy of the planets.

“A few days after Venus makes her station 15th May, there is an eclipse at the first degree of Gemini on the 20th May – and then Venus does something strange and wonderful. For those of us who have telescopes we could be in for a rare sight! On 5th/6th June, we will be able to see Venus cross the Sun, called the Venus Transit. This last happened in 2004 – and won’t happen again for 105 years and 113 years (the two events occur 8 years apart). Some people never get to see this event – so miss it this time folks and it’s gone! It will appear as a tiny ball moving across the face of the Sun. No doubt we’ll all get to see it on telly.

Venus rules women, love, economics, equal parity between both sexes and races – wonder how Mars will mix in with all of that! The last period of Venus’ transit coincided with the beginning of the suffrage movement at the end of the 19th Century in New Zealand, on to the US, then catching fire across Europe. The telephone was also developed during that (Sagittarian) time. These Venus transits only occur in one time Gemini and the next time in Sagittarius – both signs that are about communication, exploration and broadcasting ideas out to the world. It’s interesting to note that Facebook really caught hold of our imagination in 2004 and initially appealed to young students (Gemini).”

Then Later:

Just days after Venus entered Gemini on 4th April, the story below appeared in “The Guardian’’ newspaper in the UK.

“It was the lads’ mags – with semi-naked women in suggestive poses on their covers – being sold at eye level at her corner shop that did it.

“I just don’t think I should have to look at that – it’s degrading,” said 17-year-old Isabella Woolford Diaz. “If people want to buy it, fine, but I don’t think 11-year-old pupils should have to look at it.”

Deciding to take the matter into her own hands, the student formed a feminist group at Camden School for Girls in North London and before long a core group of 15 teenagers – boys and girls – were attending. “I was getting so frustrated at how women were portrayed and I wondered if I was just being pernickety,” she said. “But I soon realised it wasn’t just me.”

The group is one of dozens of new feminist organisations springing up around the UK, according to the campaign group UK Feminista. Research carried out to mark the group’s second birthday has revealed that the number of active grassroots feminist organisations has doubled in the past two years.

These are feminists who do not fit easily into stereotypical moulds: young and old, men and women, urbanites and country dwellers. A new breed of feminists is starting to rise up.

“It’s a really exciting time. We are seeing a real resurgence in feminist activism that is moving from the margins to the mainstream,” said Kat Banyard, founder of UK Feminista and author of The Equality Illusion. “People are willing to put up their hand and say they are a feminist without the fear of being ridiculed. Particularly in the past 12 months, we are seeing people standing up and willing to be counted.” Like the Camden group’s members, many of them are young, passionate and unafraid to take direct action.”

Result, I thought!

How Solar Activity Is Influencing Human Consciousness by Edgar Winter

Recently we are experiencing an intensive amount of solar activity on the Sun which is affecting both the Earth and Humans. Solar flares can affect the Central Nervous System, all brain activity, along with human behaviour and all psycho-physiological (mental-emotional-physical) response.

According to Mitch Battros – Earth Changes Media, “One of the best known prophecies/predictions of our Mayan elders is the message of a changing paradigm of our era. In the words of the Maya, it is said that we are now in a time of “change and conflict”. The change is coming from the ‘outside” in the way of weather, natural phenomena, celestial disturbance (sun flares) and manmade self-inflicted trauma. The conflict comes from the ‘inside’ in the way of personal challenge, grief, bewilderment, depression, anxiety, and fear. It is said we are “at the cross roads”. A time of choosing a new path, deciding on a new self and community direction, venturing into the unknown, finding our true identity of being. Others will choose to stay on the same road, stay with the familiar, and place great effort to maintain “predictability.”

A recent study published in the New Scientist, indicates a direct connection between the Sun’s solar storms and human biological effect. The conduit which facilitates the charged particles from the Sun to human disturbance is the very same conduit which steers Earth’s weather through the Magnetic Field on Earth, and also through the magnetic fields around humans.
