Just to say before you read your sign readings, that if you look at the evening sky through the winter months you will see Mercury, Venus and Saturn in the Western horizon, setting after the Sun. They shine so beautifully and give us the experience that the ancient priest-kings had when they began to note down their stellar observations thousands of years ago.

That is, of course, provided you have clear skies. Here in Scotland we have had cloudy skies for nearly 2 years now – I have seen the Moon about half a dozen times in the last 2 years – so I certainly can’t see the wonder of the planets setting.  

Happy Birthday Virgo 

I imagine that Virgos have been feeling pretty hard done by since last summer (2007) with Saturn, the planet of structure and reality checks entering your sign for his 30 month visit. Earthy Virgo is THE sign of perfectionism and minimalism and you can feel quite happy with some reality – however, there does come a point when it all gets a bit in your face. 

So for early Virgos ( 23 August – 5th September) who have been going through it all over the last 9 months – throwing out the old stuff and not quite sure where you’re heading – that’s all rather perfect for you, really. And, happily it’s over for another thirty years or so. Now it’s a new fresh start that you can begin to put in place. It is often suggested that this transit (passage) of Saturn over the Sun can signal a period of greatest success – but it is hard won – and totally your own making. So congratulations!

For mid-Virgos (5th – 15th September) this year is a real roller coaster ride. Saturn is making demands that you seriously look at the things that no longer serve your long term goals and start the process of letting them go. You may not wish to throw them out completely yet, but you will have done that by next August, 09. And then a brand new thirty year cycle will begin – a bit like being reborn, I guess.

The gift for you from this 9 month process is one of living in the real world and constructing a future that is based on what you are truly capable of, rather than living unrealistically. Plus the added bonus of having a much lighter load to carry, because of all the unnecessary burdens that you’ve been holding on to for maybe years. 

Meanwhile, at the same time, Uranus the planet of sudden changes and lightening flashes of inspiration, is occupying the same degrees across the Zodiac from Pisces, creating an opposition to your Sun, with Saturn already occupying the spare bedroom. Put these two energies together and you get a period of real ground breaking opportunities – and of course, hard work and some inner tension. However, I can promise you that life will not look the same by August, 09. 

The most frantic months are likely to be March to mid-April ‘09 – with March’s  Full Moon in Virgo/Pisces and  then Mars getting caught up in the fray a couple of weeks later, with demands that have everything be sorted NOW!  Yet, you know you’re not quite ready to go just yet – so keep your head down and do what you’re doing in your own time. It will give you a clearer insight into where it is you are heading, though.

Many of you will read this and think: Whoopee – I can begin to follow a brand new direction, that I have maybe suspected was going to happen, filled with exciting challenges and opportunities to develop my creative life with the new ideas that are emerging from within; while others will be filled with horror at the thought. I would counsel you here that you allow yourself to gently entertain the possibility that maybe your life could do with a bit of a spring clean. All lives could, no matter what their sign. However, to bring Law of Attraction in here, our lives look as we believe they will – so to imagine this period filled with horrible hard work and possibly stress is exactly what you will get. 

I often tell my clients that the Universe is never out to get us, ever. It is their resistance to embracing the Universe’s opportunity for change that gives them the headache NOT the opportunity itself. Remember, resistance is negative attraction. The Universe offering you a brand new way of being in your world – grab it with both hands and be grateful for it.

And for late Virgos, this energy will be available for you too from the period through end of August 09 to July 2010 – then Saturn leaves Virgo and enters Libra.
